Orthopaedic and other medical aids
For the purchase of orthopaedic and other medical aids that you require, co-financing is approved up to the amount provided by the HZZO for the said medical aid
If your wound, injury, illness, aggravation of the illness or the occurrence of the illness is a direct consequence of participating in the defence of the sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia, you are entitled to co-financing for the purchase of orthopaedic and other medical aids you need to improve the quality of life.Group I disabled Croatian Homeland War veterans who have a 100% disability have priority in exercising their rights.
An amount equal to what is approved by the Croatian Health Insurance Institute (HZZO) for the same medical aid is approved for co-financing, but it must not exceed the actual price of the medical aid.
Submitting an application
In addition to the application, you should submit the following to the Ministry of Croatian Veterans:- pro forma invoice of the company where you have ordered the medical aid
- copy of the enforceable decision on the disabled Croatian Homeland War veteran status
- certified form of the certificate or the decision of the Croatian Health Insurance Institute
- copy of the current account card.
