Free full medical examinations

Croatian Homeland War veterans are entitled to a free preventive full medical examination

You are entitled to a free preventive physical examination if you are:
  • the Croatian defender who participated in the defence of the sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia for more than 100 days,
  • a volunteer from the Homeland War
  • Croatian defender in a difficult financial-material and health situation is a caretaker of  the HRVI I. Group.
The examinations are carried out in all counties of the Republic of Croatia, in general and county hospitals, clinical hospitals and clinical hospital centres, as well as in the health home of Split-Dalmatia County, the health home of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the health home Zagreb-Centre.
                                                                             
The overview shall include:
  • laboratory tests (blood and urine analysis)
  • ECG
  • Chest RTG
  • internist review
  • Abdominal ultrasound
  • UZV prostate for men
  • gynaecological examination for women (including breast ultrasound or mammography and POPE test).
