The purpose of tuition subsidies is to help athletes who want to acquire higher education while also pursuing a professional sports career.
Caring for the dual career of athletes is one of the special objectives of the work of the Central State Office for Sports, and one of the ways to achieve this goal is to award subsidies for tuitions in higher education institutions to professional athletes.

Call for the award of subsidies

Athletes who have won a medal at the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and the Olympics for the Deaf, full-time and part-time students at higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia in all professions can apply to the call for the award of subsidies for tuitions in higher education institutions to professional athletes.

The purpose of tuition subsidies is to help athletes who want to acquire higher education while also pursuing a professional sports career, so they could adapt to the life “after sports” after they finish their professional sports career.
