As a Croatian veteran, you may be entitled to a minimum guaranteed pension under certain requirements

As a Croatian veteran, you may be entitled to the minimum guaranteed pension, the basis of which amounts to 45 percent of the average net salary for 2016 339.54 EUR per month, under the following requirements:
  • if you spent 100 days in the combat sector

As a member of the family of a deceased Croatian veteran, you may be entitled to the minimum guaranteed pension if: On 1 March 2018, a provision came into force according to which all Croatian veterans who have already qualified for the minimum guaranteed pension under previous regulations or are yet to exercise the right to the minimum guaranteed pension will also be entitled to the minimum guaranteed pension supplement depending on the duration of their participation in defence of the sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia in the combat sector amounting to 0.07 EUR per day of participation in the combat sector. With regard to the beneficiaries who have already exercised the right to the minimum guaranteed pension, the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute already calculated the new amount of their minimum guaranteed pension ex officio when calculating the pension for March 2018, therefore, no special application was required.
