Compulsory pension fund (registration/change)

REGOS e-service – Compulsory pension fund (registration/change) includes the online selection or change of the compulsory pension company and the category of the compulsory pension fund

All persons under the age of 40 who, for the first time since 1 January 2002, acquire the status of an insured person in pension insurance (whether on the basis of employment, independent profession, other income, benefits), must choose their compulsory pension fund within one month of acquiring the status of the insured person.

REGOS immediately upon receiving the information from the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute on the establishment of insurance in the compulsory pension insurance system based on generational solidarity, sends to the home address of the insured person a notice of the need to choose a compulsory pension fund.

Insured persons can also choose their fund at the REGOS counter located in each FINA branch, by presenting a valid photo identification document (identity card, passport, driver's license) and by providing your Croatian Personal ID Number .
Insured persons who do not choose their compulsory pension fund within the prescribed period (one month) will be assigned by REGOS ex officio to one of the categories of the compulsory pension fund managed by one of the pension companies.

The opening of a personal account of a member of the compulsory pension fund is initiated upon completion of the registration (personal choice or official allocation). The insured person can be a member of only one compulsory pension fund and have only one personal account in the compulsory pension fund.
