Preparatory courses for higher education institutions

Every year, the Ministry of Croatian Veterans issues a Public call to co-finance the costs of one preparatory course for taking the state graduation exam or one preparatory course for taking the classification exam for enrolment in study programmes

You may be entitled to co-financing of the costs of one preparatory course for taking the state graduation exam or one preparatory course for taking the classification exam for enrolment in study programmes as:
  • the child of a deceased Croatian Homeland War veteran and the child of a missing Croatian Homeland War veteran
  • the child of a disabled Croatian Homeland War veteran
  • the child of a Homeland War military volunteer
  • the child of a Croatian Homeland War veteran who participated in defending the sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia for at least 100 days in the combat sector
  • a disabled Croatian Homeland War veteran and a Croatian Homeland War veteran (personally).
The requirement for exercising this right is that the income per household member is less than 353,15 EUR, unless you are the child of a deceased, imprisoned or missing Croatian war veteran. In that case, the amount of income is irrelevant for the payment of preparatory courses for enrolment in higher education institutions.

Co-financing of the costs of one preparatory course for taking the state graduation exam or one preparatory course for taking the classification exam for enrolment in study programmes implies a reimbursement of funds of up to 265 EUR.

Applications for reimbursement of funds paid for the preparatory course are to be submitted to the Ministry of Croatian Veterans by using the form Application for financing the costs of preparatory courses for enrolment in higher education institutions, which is published with the public call.

The public call is published once a year on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans Current public calls.
