Road motor vehicles tax

If you own a car, motorcycle or quadricycle, you are required to pay the road motor vehicles tax annually, on the date of your statutory annual test; i.e., renewal of your log book, and the amount of this tax depends on the engine power and vehicle age

If you own a registered car, you are required to pay the road motor vehicles tax depending on engine power and vehicle age, while vehicles which are over 10 years old are not taxed:

If you own a motorcycle or quadricycle, you are required to pay the tax depending on the engine power and vehicle age:
  • For motorcycles

Tax exemption

You are not required to pay the road motor vehicles tax if you were exempt from customs duties and value-added tax when purchasing the vehicle, and if you own a vehicle adapted for transport of persons with disabilities.
