Protection against computer security incidents
1. Update your software regularly
Update your operating systems, apps, and antivirus programs regularly. Updates often contain corrections to security vulnerabilities.
2. Use strong and unique passwords
Create complex passwords for your user accounts and use different passwords for each individual service. Consider using the password manager to store them easily and securely.
3. Use multi-factor authentication
Where possible, include multifactor authentication (MFA) for your online user accounts. This adds another layer of security to the complex password.
4. Watch out for phishing
Be careful when opening suspicious e-mails, links, and attachments. Verify the sender's legitimacy before clicking on links and sharing sensitive information.
5. Protect your personal information
Limit the amount of personal information you share online. Be careful what you share on social networks and who you share information with.
6. Secure your wi-fi network
