The Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency is competent for the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation

The Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (hereinafter referred to as: the Agency) is an independent authority which supervises the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (General Data Protection Regulation) and performs the activities within the scope and competence established by the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Official Gazette no. 42/18), which ensures implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

In accordance with the GDPR, the Agency has advisory and corrective powers, as well as powers of investigation.

The Agency continually devotes efforts to making appropriate protection of privacy (protection of personal data), as one of the fundamental human rights, a generally accepted principle in the work of all those who collect, process and transmit personal data.

Any person who believes that their right to personal data protection has been breached can apply to the Agency regarding protection of their right, and the Agency will give a decision on this application.
