EU Digital COVID Certificates available on the e-Citizens portal

Receive your EU Digital COVID Certificate with just a few steps via the e-Citizens portal

Citizens of the Republic of Croatia who have access to the portal, and whose data on vaccination against COVID-19, a negative test result or recovery from COVID-19 are entered in the central databases of the Ministry of Health can request their EU Digital COVID Certificate via the e-Citizens portal.

Users can choose the type of covid certificate, whether it is a certificate of recovery, testing or vaccination. Independent selection and retrieval of certificates has been made possible in view of the increasing demand for test certificates from individual Member States, despite pre-existing vaccination or recovery certificates. More on the various actual measures, including quarantine and testing requirements for passengers, and the EU's digital certificate for COVID at the EU Re-open.

The portal is accessed (via log in) with Level 2 digital credentials – significant level of security (for example, token/mtoken) or Level 3 digital credentials (for example, electronic ID card - eOI) – high level of security, and no additional data and documentation is required. The system retrieves user data from the databases of the Ministry of Health and the certificate is generated by clicking on the option “Request certificate”.

The certificate that citizens download via the e-Citizens portal can be saved on a computer, printed out or sent to an e-mail address.

You can save the certificate as a PDF file or save it in the CovidGO mobile app and present it to the person responsible for scanning the QR code and other important data.

You can receive the EU Digital COVID Certificates for your children via the e-Citizens portal. After logging into the EU Digital COVID Certificate e-service, click on the “Change subject” option at the top right and select the data of the child for whom you want to receive a certificate. By changing the subjects, you will be able to request the certificate on behalf of your child in the same manner you did for yourself, i.e. by selecting the “REQUEST CERTIFICATE” option.
