Why have new security levels been introduced?

New security levels have been introduced in order to harmonize the system features at EU level. There are now three security levels:

1. high security level (3)
2. significant security level (2)
3. low security level (1)

The catalogue of services also includes services without a security level (0), which means that for these services login to e-Citizens is not required.
