Enrolment of students in the first year of secondary schools in class departments for athletes

All students, ranked by a national sports association based on certain criteria, have the right to apply for enrolment in secondary schools in class departments for athletes. Based on the ranking on the national sports association ranking list, along with the points earned for the student's GPA, the students can additionally earn up to:

• 80 points for first-class sports;
• 72 points for second-class sports;
• 64 points for third-class sports.

It should be emphasised that these points are valid only for the enrolment in class departments for athletes. Students must observe the deadlines for the application into the National Information System from the decision on the enrolment of students in the first year of the secondary school which is published by the Ministry of Education and Science for each calendar year, in order to be placed on national sports associations’ ranking lists and to be able to apply for education programmes with class departments for athletes.

The students who do not express the interest to enrol in class departments for athletes within the prescribed deadline will not have the possibility to choose education programmes that include class departments for athletes.
