Assistance for the purposes of inclusion in programmes of upbringing and regular education

Teachers can receive assistance in the inclusion of children with special needs into the education system

Assistance for including a child with developmental disabilities or a young adult with disabilities in programmes of regular preschools or schools is a social service provided to educators and professional associates in preschools, and to teachers, instructors, expert associates and assistants in schools.

This service can be provided for up to five hours a week.

The service is approved by the regional office of the Croatian Social Work Institute, competent according to the beneficiary's permanent residence, after obtaining the opinion of the pre-school or school institution and the service provider on the duration and frequency of the service.

Providers of the service of assistance for the purposes of inclusion in programmes of upbringing and regular education

Assistance for inclusion in upbringing and regular education programmes is provided by social welfare homes, centres providing services in the community, and other service providers who provide services to children with developmental disabilities and young adults with disabilities.
